“The Jesse” Gets Permanent Home At Season Finale In Brainerd, MN
After three seasons of rotating locations throughout the schedule, we are pleased to announce that the annual race honoring our late friend and BBXC crew member Jesse Thelen, will have a permanent home at our season finale in Brainerd, Minnesota.
The Jackson airfield race site offers the most spacious camping accommodations in the series, as well as the ability to host pre and post-race activities, such as pit bike racing, outdoor movies and live music. This setting, along with fall weather in the Brainerd Lakes Area, is sure to equal a great overall experience celebrating Jesse, together with all of our friends from the off-road and snowmobile racing communities.

At this time we can guarantee that the AA class will pay the traditional $1,900 to win, while the 40+ A class will pay $190, both reflecting Jesse’s race number 19. Fundraising for the event is just getting underway, but the goal is to have a minimum $5,000 total payout, keeping it among the highest in all off-road racing throughout the country.
Previous winners of “The Jesse” include Logan Kittock (2022, 2023) and Tanner Whipple (2024).
Brainerd is home base for the series and we look forward continually growing The Barnstormer, presented by Checkpoint Off-Road, to become a crown jewel of dirt bike racing in the Midwest.
